"An Easy Approach Teach Mathematics?"

The teacher must be trained and should have a mastery

of the subject matter, know the children's background and have a well spelled out objectives for the lesson. The teacher plans. He identifies the topic from which the lesson to be taught will come. This is followed by research, reading books, talking with colleagues, browsing the Internet. The points gathered from the above research are written on paper as a guide. From the guide, an objective of the lesson is formulated and the lesson note written out. The heading of the lesson note consist of the following :

-Title of subject

-Topic

-Lesson

-Previous knowledge

-Teaching Aids

-Lesson Objectives

-Duration of lesson

-Age of students

-Date

The points above show the heading of the lesson and the approaches the teacher will use to teach the lesson well. The lesson will be structured as follows:

◇The introduction

◇The body

◇The evaluation

◇The Summary

◇The conclusion

◇Assignment

The introduction, body, evaluation, summary, conclusion are filled with what is to be taught while the assignment is used to evaluate the students so teaching can continue to the next level. Make sure all assignments are corrected before moving to the next topic. A brief explanation of the what is to be written in the introduction, body, evaluation can be seen on my blog. You can visit my blog at SIMPLE GUIDES TO QUICKLY LEARN MATHEMATICS to see sample lesson notes.

To teach, you begin with the introduction where you  find out the student's previous knowledge in relation to the lesson using questions. You build up into the lesson by connecting what the students already know to what you want to teach. From here, you move into the body and now teach what you had prepared for the lesson.
