                                Questions from a Student needing assistance. Below are the solutions.You can also pose your questions on number theory or otherwise and your solutions will be provided.

Question 1.
a)   (5³)²±³
b)  (3×4)³
c)
 Question 2
a)   write 324 as a product of its prime factors.
b)  write 129753000 in scientific notation .
c)    calculate the final amount that Pam will have in her investment account if she invest R600 for 5 years at rate of 6% per annum simple interest. A
                                  Solution
Question 1.
a)    a  (53)2±3
(53)2+3   and   (5)2-3
Solve these two problems separately. Right hand side first (RHS) and left hand side next (LHS)
LHS: (53)2+3= (53)5
        (53)2+3= 515 = 1.113263577 answer
RHS: (53)2-3 = (53)-1
               (53)2-3 = 5-3
          (53)2-3 =   1 =   1
                          53    125
          (53)2-3 = .008 answer
      b)  (3×4)3= 123
            (3×4)3 = 1728 answer.
  c)        50= 1 answer.
Question 2.

a)      324= 2×2×3×3×3×3
324 = 22×34 answer.
b)      129753000= 1.29753×10
c)       Amount(A)= Principal(P) + simple interest(SI)
 Or   A= P+I
  You will calculate Simple interest and substitute in the formula for amount above.
 P= 600, Rate(R)= 6%, Time =5years.
Simple Interest (SI)= Principal × Rate × Time.
SI= 600× 6% ×5
SI= 600 × 6 × 5
                100
SI=  R180
Amount = R600+R180
Final Amount = R780.
