I am a mathematics teacher from 1997 till date. As you know, mathematics is used by all, even parents of the unborn for their good. This means even the unborn use mathematics before they are officially exposed to it at school age.
Mathematics assist all other subjects for free. It also helps politicians, economists, and social organizations to attain their goals.
The extend to which this subject is used shows that everyone needs it without limits to age, sex, cultural background and what have you? You badly need it even now.
As an experienced mathematics teacher, I can happily tell you that this subject is the basis for arranging a family, community or nation.
Tell me where you think mathematics is not needed within a family, community or country, and I will instantly disprove and reward you as well.
Do you know that students who do well in mathematics pick the other subjects with total ease? Yes I can authoritatively back this up from my 24 years of interacting with learners. And , adults easily study mathematics because they know its value. You need to motivate yourself and others to study it.
Most students who dread mathematics barely crawl through their education. The end up with simple under paid jobs because they could not succeed in what the actually wanted due to very low score or a fail in mathematics. You hated mathematics hence, you are the cause of your problem .
We are in a fast growing era of science and technology. If you avoided or are still avoiding mathematics, know that you have little or nothing to contribute to the technological , social , economic, political, and scientific advancement of your family, community and country as a whole. Change you ways!
