TEN REASONS WHY 144 IS A SPECIAL NUMBER.

                                   

       I must disagree with many including you who say 144 is not a special. 

   Indeed it is great because it has certain unique features which no other number has. You may be wondering what these features are and thus very anxious to see them. 

    Don’t worry, I will be showing you in a while. Just to take you apart a bit, your knowledge of numbers is so important that it helps you meet up with some basic businesses and achievements in life. 

   At elementary level of your education, you were thought how to subtract, add, divide and multiply numbers. All just to lay a solid foundation on which solid mathematics shall be build.

    These are basic operations everybody uses or has once used to combine numbers that enabled him or her attend or goal in a specific subject or field. 

   These are the operations that will be used here to confirm the special nature of 144.

   The number 144 is a perfect square .What is a perfect square?  When you multiply a number by itself, the result obtained is a perfect square. For example; 1×1=1, 2×2=4, 3X3=9, 4×4=16, 5×5=?, 6×6=? , and so on. The results 1, 4,9,… are all perfect squares.

    144 is also a perfect square because it gotten from 12×12. 169 is a perfect square because it is obtained by multiplying 13 by itself that is 13X13. Though a perfect square, 169 just like other perfect squares does not have the features that are found in 144.

    That is why 144 is so special and the proves that give it this quality are so convincing that you will surely want to make it your special password or your best code to keep your privacy out of the reach of many. Remember, the number 12, from which 144 is obtain is of great significance in that it represents the total number of months in a year. It represents the 12 Tribes of Israel. It represents the 12 sons of Jacob in the bible. It represents the word dozen which eases business transactions and many more. 

   Now let us examine why 144 is called very special and great number as below. Performing some simple computations will make this very simple to understand.

1)      144 is a perfect square. The sum of its digits is a perfect square. That is 144 implies 1+4+4=9. The result 9 is a perfect square.

2)      144 is a perfect square. The product of its digits is a perfect square. This is 144 implies 1×4×4=16. !6 is a perfect square.

3)      144 can be written as the sum of two twin prime numbers; 144=71+73

4)      144 is a Harshad number or a Niven number in base 10, meaning it is divisible by the sum of its digits and the result is a perfect square. That is 144= 144÷(1+4+4)

                                                             144=144÷9=16 a perfect square.

5)      The reverse of 144 that is 441 is also a perfect square.441 is obtained from 21×21.

6)      The reverse of the square root of 144 that is 12 is the reverse of the square root of 441 that is 21.

7)      It is the smallest number with 15 divisors and would have been highly composite if it were not for the 120

8)      144 is divisible by the number of natural numbers up to it that are prime relative to 144( the value of Euler’s totient function ) namely 48.

9)      144 disapproves Euler’s sum of powers conjecture by being the smallest number whose fifth power can be written as a sum of the four smaller fifth powers. That is 144⁵=13⁵+27⁵+85⁵+110^5..

10)  144 is a Fibonacci number (the only Fibonacci number other than 1 and 8 and to be a power of anything, in fact) and is the square of its Fabonacci index meaning it is the twelfth Fibonacci number.

From the above points, you can now agree with me that this number is indeed a very special number. With time you will see other numbers like 144 that are special and the reasons that make them like that.
