Teaching methods are the strategies employed by a teacher to enable a student learn with ease.The method to be used is determined by the subject matter and the grade level of the students. Below are some of the strategies used by most educators: Lecture method, Discussion method, Demonstration method, Problem Solving method,Questioning method,Group discussion and Project method.When a teaching method is carefully selected based on your objectives, it makes teaching and learning enjoyable as you manage the classroom with ease.This is means you can use more than one strategy to teach a lesson.
The best methods to teach math are: Demonstration, Group discussion,Problem solving,Questioning and Assignment. Remember the method chosen depends on content to be taught , and the grade level of the students.You need to be very flexible in the way you apply these teaching methods.
